I got my computer all set up with internet at the new home. It's a pretty sweet setup. I'm using my Dell 2001FP 20" LCD to 4 table at 1600x1200 and I'm playing an additional 2 tables on my laptop screen. I'm running everything through my laptop. This dual screen crap is the shit. Hopefully one day, I'll have another 2001FP and will just use those. I'll post a pic of my setup once I get ahold of a digital camera.

So I spent a bit today 6 tabling the $2/4 tables. You can really rack up some hands with those additional 2 tables. That's the first time I've ever 6 tabled. It didn't seem all that difficult. I never really felt rushed. I feel that I could handle 8 tables with no problem.

The games are very good tonight. I found some nice tables. How nice you ask? Let's consult the hand history:

And a real winner, Hand #2:

So I ended up having a pretty good night and a pretty decent week. It would have been a real good week, but last night kicked my ass.

I plan on getting some more poker played tonight, but I'm going to take a break and watch a little TV and do some housework.

Things are starting to go my way???? I don't know about all that, but this hand sure did. It's about time I get one of these:

Button has Ac Jd (three of a kind, aces).

Outcome: Hero wins 23 BB.

My thinking street by street:

Pre-Flop
A-3 offsuit. Not that great of a hand, but worthy of a raise 4 handed. I get 3 callers, oh shit.

Flop
OK, I caught my ace, but I got a shitty kicker and some asshole leading into me. I'm gonna raise for good measure to see where I'm at. The Small Blind has a tendancy to do the donk bet thing on his draws. The button cold called 2 bets, so now I'm worried that he has an ace which almost guarantees I'm outkicked. He could also have 6-6 and I'm still beat.

Turn
Another ace. This dickhead leads it out. We can't all have aces. I raise because I'm sticking with my flush draw read. The button 3 bets. Oh shit. I knew it. I get nervous and proceed to go into call down mode. Small blind calls 2 cold and I figure I might be in last place here. My weak ace against the small blinds not so weak ace, vs pocket 6's.

River
Sweet mother! A river card that helps me out. I'm pedal to the metal right now. I got the pocket 6's covered. The flush got there and I got it covered. The only aces that can beat me now are A-6 and A-Q which I don't think these guys had.

The guy in the small blind is the reason that I can buy $3000 DLP TVs for my parents. The reason that I can pay off my vehicle and insurance payments every month without using my paycheck from my real job. He is also the reason I get on this blog and bitch every other day because he just sucked out on the river again.

I had a good session this morning mostly because of the hand above. I love to suck out on the river. These fuckers cause me so much pain, it's good to reverse the tide on them.

I should have a working Internet connection at home this evening. No bowling either. I'll probably have to mow grass when I get home, but that shouldn't take too long. I hope to get some hands played tonight. I will need to hook up my internet to my computer. Plus I still need to get my monitor and hook it up. One thing that worries me is that I'm afraid my laptop's video card will not be able to support a 1600x1200 resolution. I'll keep my fingers crossed there.

I donated my old computer to my parents. I still need to get the 10gig or so of MP3's and my Poker Tracker database off that computer.

I probably won't get too much poker played this weekend, but you never know. Friday night, I'll be watching the high school football game and then probably go out afterwards. Saturday, I'm dedicating to my truck. It needs some TLC. First thing I need to do is get the exhaust fixed. 2nd thing is change the oil. 3rd thing is wash and wax that bastard. It's a beautiful truck, but it's had a hard summer.

I want it to look like this again:

I'm getting excited. The cable company is installing my television and internet tomorrow. I'll actually have something to do tomorrow evening. I need to get a wireless router so I can take full advantage of my laptop's capabilities which include playing poker on the front deck on a cool summer night. I'll probably wake the neighbors cursing the fuckers that catch their runner runner flushes.

I'm still running bad. I'm due for a huge frucking rush soon. I think once I get my internet set up at home and can play un-interrupted, the cards will treat me better. Twice today I had TPTK and was called down only to see my opponent hit running cards to make trips (314 to 1 shot or something like that... TWICE!)

I need to run by the old place and pick up my Dell 2001FP screen so I can 4 table the $2/4 games properly. I forgot to get it yesterday. But I did get my new mouse. It's a sexy Logitech Mx1000 wireless mouse. I broke my Mx700. Damn Party Poker! Wireless Mouse + Bad Beat = DUCK!

Tonight, I bowl. We are in 1st place in my Wednesday night league. I bowled great last Wednesday but sucked ass this past Monday. I hope to do good today. My goal is to win all my brackets (brackets cost $2/ea. I get $10 worth. You can win $10 per bracket. So I have a chance to win $50 for a $10 investment.) Last week I won 2 of my brackets.

I'm in the mood for some live poker too. I'm trying to set up a game for this Friday night after the football game. I'd like to play some limit hold 'em one time. However, it would probably be .50/1 or 1/2. Some of the people that play aren't comfortable losing $100 or so. My preference would be $2/4 or we should just do the $25/NL thing again.

I don't have a whole lot to report as far as poker goes. I finally got moved in to my new place. I'm not settled in yet, however. There's still quite a bit of unboxing to do. I'll probably spend tonight unboxing more stuff and hanging pictures, decorating, etc.

I think I'm going to have a huge ebay yard sale too to get rid of some of the crap I don't need. I have to wait for my internet to get hooked up.

The cable people are supposed to show up on Thursday evening to hook me up with TV and Internet. At that point, I hope to be settled in enough so that I can get some hands played.

My plan is to be conservative with the bankroll since I will be using to help pay expenses. I'll drop back to $2/4 for a while and try to build the bankroll while paying bills with my earnings. This is not going to be easy at the $2/4 level. I'd be happy making enough to pay some or all of my utilities with poker money.

I had originally thought that I wouldn't hook up a wireless network in the new place because I no longer play my Playstation or Xbox online. However, I have found the peacefullness that is the front porch. I have a front porch swing and it's very nice to sit out there. I think I could take bad beats more easily on the front porch.

This will probably be my last post until Thursday.
