I'm stoked. In 2 days, 4 hours, 46 minutes I will officially be on vacation. I need it. I'm just burnt out right now. I've travelled too many miles the past few weeks.

Sunday evening, me and about 7 or 8 close friends will be leaving for Front Royal, VA for a few days relaxing on the Shenandoah River. My friend has a cabin there and we spend the week fishing, drinking, and playing poker. It should be a real hoot.

I haven't played much poker since the last post. So there's not much to report there. I think I might have lost a few bucks playing .50/1.00.

I've been watching the new ESPN WSOP shows. I can't wait until the real WSOP events come on. If anyone knows where to find a schedule of what events they are showing, can you let me know?

I've pretty much spent my time off the poker tables going to baseball games, getting back into bowling (leagues start in 2 weeks. I'm going to be in 2 this year), and playing guitar. My friend and I are recording a CD doing some cover tunes. I'm not going to take any credit for anything on it. Because basically all I have done is hook shit up and show him how to use the software. I might be on a couple songs playing rhythm though. So far the songs we have are Mr. Crowley (Ozzy), Going to California (Led Zeppelin), Keep Away (Godsmack).

All the songs are recorded with backing tracks which seems pretty lame, but the songs actually came out good. Now my friend can play the drums pretty well too, so we are looking for a means to record them and have them sound good. The beauty of multi-track software is that one person can do all the shit and sound like a full band.

Some songs I'd like get on CD are:

Un-plugged:
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Pride and Joy
Mr. Big - Be With You

Plugged:
An old school Black Label Song .. probably something Strong Than Death
Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Chile (friend did this song at a club one night and people went nuts)

It will be cool to be just a small part of a project like this. It's a fucking blast to work on it too. I just wish I were a better player so I could play more on it. I'm learning though.

Anyway, when we get it to sound halfway decent, I'll post some MP3's on this site.

As for Poker, I'm getting the itch more and more each day. I'm back to reading poker blogs and reading 2+2 forums (even though the 2+2'ers annoy me). I'll probably play some this week. I'm gonna jump back into 4 tabling the $1/2 tables and hopefully get the bankroll back to $2/4 status. Once I get to $2/4, I feel I can make some decent spending money.

Until next time... Peace out.
